DATED 1869-1879, GREEN LOZENGE S. (18)69, IRON-RED RF DORE MARK FOR 1879, INCISED PV.RO.G. AND N, SIGNED WITH AN AL MONOGRAM FOR J.B.A. LONGUET

The Sèvres archives record two Vase Boileau Diéterle gilded in 1879. In July and August of 1880, both are noted in the magazine registry: one as sent to the lottery of the clocks and watches trade chamber; the other as delivered to an unidentified French museum.

This form was created in 1855 by Jules-Pierre-Michel Diéterle, Director of Works of Arts, forms and decoration (1848-1855). Prior to his employment at Sèvres, Diéterle was trained as an architect, painter and decorator.
