TRANSLATION OF THE POEM:
The emperor leaves the palace to travel on this sunny day,Up high the two stars controlling his fortune and health are sparkling. After offering sweet wine to the goddesses of the Xiang River,He visits Yuelu Academy but not for studying ancient sages' writings.
Passers-by walk on the tree-shaded bridge leading into Jiuyi Mountains,Seeing gusts of wind and rain are washing the orchids.Even you and I are separated by ten thousand miles of rivers and lakes,I know your wish of being of service to the country.
