With broad double-edged fullered blade with faint latten-inlaid running wolf mark on one face, guard of arched quillons each swelling at the tip, shaped black-painted wooden grip with plain iron ferrule above and below, and spirally fluted plummet-shaped pommel; together with A NORTH ITALIAN HALBERD, LATE 16TH CENTURY, with long slender spike of stiff diamond section, shaped crescentic axe-blade with numerous circular piercings, some linked, shaped downturned rear-fluke pierced en suite, open socket, and four side-straps, on wooden haft covered with green velvet heightened with groups of brass studs, and with green woollen tassel (worn)
