Of cylindrical section set on a round, low plinth, the brush holder carved in low relief with emblems of the Ten Signs of Long Life, including a family of leaping deer, pines, bamboo, bullocho fungus, the sun and peach trees interpersed with tall, rounded peaks reminiscent of the Diamond Mountains, clouds and waves, the exterior stained and polished deep brown, the plinth and interior brownish black
