A RARE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN FLUTE
19TH CENTURY
The sides are decorated with the Eight Buddhist Emblems (bajixiang) tied with ribbons amidst foliate sprays, all on a lemon-yellow ground between diaper borders at each end. The ten fingering holes on one side and two additional holes near one end have gilt borders.
22 1/8 in. (56.2 cm.) long
Provenance
The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
