A SMALL YELLOW AND PALE BROWN JADE ELEPHANT
MING DYNASTY, 15TH-16TH CENTURY
The elephant is shown in a recumbent position on top of a base of clouds, with its trunk swung to one side and the tail flicked to the other side. The stone is semi-opaque and softly polished.
2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) long, wood and cloth stands
