A WHITE JADE CENSER AND COVER
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The body is raised on a spreading ring foot, and has a pair of winged dragon and loose ring handles between two pairs of archaistic dragons confronted on a pearl well carved in low relief on the sides. The domed cover is similarly carved below a ruyi border, and surmounted by a reticulated finial carved as a dragon striding amidst clouds and flames. The semi-translucent stone, of even color, has some opaque mottling.
