Poetry, Persian manuscript on ivory paper, 83ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 14ll. of flowing shikasteh arranged in two columns with double gold intercolumnar rule, text panels outlined in gold, black and blue, margins with single black outer rule, catchwords, headings in red on gold panels with polychrome illumination, text with 6 contemporaneous paintings, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination surrounding text in clouds reserved against gold ground, the following folio with the text similarly in clouds reserved against gold, colophon dated, first folio loose in binding, in lacquer binding decorated with gul-o-bulbul, the doublures with scenes from the story
