Arabic manuscript on paper, 304ff. plus 4 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of elegant black naskh, gold and polychrome verse roundels, sura headings in white in a gold ground cartouches, text panels within gold and polychrome rules, large floral marginal medallion juz' markers, the opening bifolio fully illuminated with the text inside a roundel, the penultimate 2ff. with further prayers in paired roundels on gold ground with scrolling polychrome floral vine, the colophon with a gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, with the text written radiating around a central stellar motif, katabahu al-faqir al-sayyid 'Ali al-Fawzy min talamidh al-Sayyid Khulusi, with the date written out at the centre of the star, a large floral spray in the margin, loose in original red gilded and tooled morocco with flap, in original leather slipcase
