IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Of typical elongated from, the polychrome and gilt painted decoration with a bowing retainer paying homage to his lord, richly adorned and carrying a bow, in a sylvan landscape, a bridge and castle in the background, the sides with various countryside panoramas within gilt cartouches interspersed with portrait medallions of noble youths, the reverse adorned with an intricate gilt floriated scrolling tendrils on red ground, the based rubbed, with later added signature 'Ya Baqir al-'Ulum' and date of AH 1175/1761-62 AD
