TWO COURT NECKLACES, CHAOZHU

The first necklace is composed of 108 yellow glass bead divided by four larger beads, jiezhu, 'connecting beads'. The central jiezhu has a maroon ribbon leading to the beiyun, 'black cloud' which is weighed down by a pendant with a kingfisher feather-inlaid mount. There are three secondary pendants hanging from a chain of 10 glass beads. The second necklace consists of 108 carnelian agate beads separated by four jadeite jiezhu. A blue ribbon with the jadeite jiezhu hangs from the centre, with three associated pendants hanging to the sides, one agate, one jadeite and one amethyst.
