A BLUE AND WHITE 'LOTUS' DISH
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The dish is finely potted with shallow, gently curved sides and a flared mouth rim, all supported on a short channelled foot. It is painted to both the interior and the exterior in vibrant shades of cobalt blue with intertwining foliage sprouting large lotus flowers supporting pods.
15 in. (38.1 cm.) diam.
