CIRCA 1820-25, BLUE STENCILLED INTERLACED L MARKS ENCLOSING FLEUR-DE-LYS AND SEVRES MARK, INDISTINCT INCISED KILN DATE MARKS POSSIBLY FOR 1822 AND 1825, VARIOUS INCISED LETTERS
Each painted with specimen fruit or nuts within a gilt scroll border, three examples named on the reverse in black script for Marons des pirénées, Poires Bergamotte Suisse, and Prunes de Magdeleine, the remaining three painted with cobnuts, raspberries and greengages (the pear plate with starcrack to reverse, the raspberry plate with slight wear to enamels)

For two plates from the same service in the Marton Museum see Selma Schwartz, French Royal Porcelain Sèvres, The Marton Museum collection Samobor, Samobor, 2005, pp. 274-5, no. 118. A Paris (Honoré) part dessert-service painted with very similar fruit and nut specimens, perhaps by the same hand, was sold by Christie's in New York on 24 May 2000, lot 188.
