HANAU, CIRCA 1790, STRUCK WITH THE HANAU TOWN MARK FOR 19 CARAT GOLD
circular box, the detachable cover, sides and base of translucent dark blue enamel over an engine-turned ground, the cover centred with an oval painted enamel plaque depicting a basket of flowers within a diamond-set and seed-pearl frame, with white enamel pellet outer borders and chased gold foliate mounts
