A FAMILLE ROSE OVOID VASE
20TH CENTURY
It is decorated with a continuous scene of a lady accompanied by an attendant holding a fan, beside a willow trees in a fenced garden. It is inscribed reading "yuzhi tianxiashi, xudu gujinshu", that may be translated as "One should read all the books written in the past and present in pursuit of knowledge of the entire universe". With an apocryphal Qianlong four-character mark to the base.
