TWELFTH EDITION which took a small side step from cricket to include a page on ‘The American Base Ball Players in England … a finely-framed, powerful set of men' who impressed with their ‘splendid long-distance throwing and truly magnificent out-fielding’ (p. 207). In addition to the usual material, a short account is also given of ‘The Three English Twelves who have visited Australia’, the last being W.G. Grace's team in 1873-74. A GOOD SOUND COPY OF AN EDITION LONG RECOGNISED AS VERY RARE.
