BIBLE, in Latin. Antwerp: Christopher Plantin, 1567. 8° (170 x 115mm). Woodcut architectural title border. With final blanks. (Occasional light marginal dampstaining or light soiling, small ink spot in the margin of some gatherings.) 17th-century red morocco, the sides centred with a quatrefoil onlay within a wide gilt border with pointillé scrolls and fleur-de-lys tools at the corners, spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges and turn-ins (front joint split, extremities rubbed, small ink spots near two edges). Provenance: Jean Ballesdens (1595-1675, jurist and bibliophile; title signature) -- Jean-Baptise Colbert (1619-1683, statesman and bibliophile; 'Biblioteca Colbertina' title inscription) -- 'Levasseur' (signature, 'ex dono Domini ?Daure').
