A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE MOUNTAIN
JIN/YUAN DYNASTY (1115-1368)
The mountain is carved in openwork to simulate Taihu rock, shrouded in ruyi-clouds supporting immortals above Mi Fu bowing before a boulder. The reverse is carved with a small tripod censer on a promontory beneath a tree. The base is pierced.

Compare with two similar celadon jade boulders from the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Zhongguo Yuqi Quanji, Hebei, 1993, vol. 5, p. 81, no. 130, dated Song dynasty; and the other of Jin dynasty, p. 100, no. 154.
