Les figures de Marie, Joseph et du berger agenouillé sont très similaires à celles du relief représentant l'Adoration des Bergers réalisé par Mazza à l'église de San Clemente à Venise (Bacchi, loc. cit.). La représentation de l'allée bordée d'arbres à l'arrière-plan fait quant à elle penser au relief de Diane et Endymion conservé au Museo Davia Bargellini à Bologne.
