Lot Essay

Ce type de masque était utilisé lors des rites initiatiques des deux plus hauts gradés de la société Bwami. Ce sont des emblèmes appartenant à des initiés.
Ce visage aux traits épurés a conservé une partie de son kaolin. Reste de raphia figurant la barbe. Ces masques étaient fixés à différentes parties du corps, exposés au sol ou accrochés à des barrières.
