Late 18th-century calf, sides with a gilt-ruled and blind roll-tooled border, gilt edges, spine with later gilt lettering, marbled endpapers (rebacked, spine worn and with early repair, joints starting, extremities rubbed). Provenance: Henry White (signature dated Lichfield, 1818) -- Henry Latham (bookplate) -- Rosenheim (label). A rare 16th-century edition of Melanchthon with woodcut emblems, some by Jost Amman.
