8° (143 x 91mm). Additional engraved title, printed title within woodcut border, woodcut vignette at end, two devices of Oxford and Cambridge and 58 full-page woodcut emblematic illustrations. (Light soiling and occasional spotting.) Polished calf by F. Bedford, triple gilt border on sides, spine with raised bands, morocco lettering-pieces in two compartments, the others decorated in gilt, gilt turn-ins, gilt edges (new endpapers). Provenance: S. A. Thompson Yates (bookplate).
