PLATEA, Franciscus de (d.1460). Opus restitutionum, usurarum, excommunicationum. Padua: Leonardus Achates de Basilea, [not after 28 July] 1473.
Chancery 2° (294 x 201mm). Collation: A10 B8 a-f10 g6 h-q10 (A1r tabula, a1r Restitutio, h1r Usura, m2r Excommunicates, q10 blank). 173 leaves (of 174, without blank q10), the tabula quires bound at end; quires a-g with printed signatures in extreme lower right corner, quires h-q with contemporary manuscript signatures. 40 lines. Type: 1:104R. Contemporary rubrication in red and blue, opening initial in interlocking colours, smaller initials and paragraph marks alternating in red or blue. (Occasional spotting, pentrials on a few leaves, faint dampstain in a few leaves, small wormholes in first 2 quires, repaired marginal tear in e1.) Early 20th-century red morocco gilt by J. Haines, Liverpool, top edge gilt, old letter “M” on fore-edges. Provenance: contemporary marginal annotations.
