A BLUE AND WHITE 'BAJIXIANG' VASE
19TH CENTURY
The globular body is decorated in vibrant shades of cobalt blue with lotus blooms borne on leafy stems below a band of The Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, tied with ribbons on a dense foliate band interrupted by a pair of molded monster mask and ring handles. An apocryphal Qianlong seal mark is on the base.
