A CREAM-GLAZED MOLDED TREE-TRUNK-FORM PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1770-1820
The bottle is molded in the form of a gnarled prunus tree trunk with blossoming branches, against which grow a pine tree, bamboo, grass and lingzhi.
3 in. (7.6 cm.) high, jadeite stopper
Provenance
John Paul Rappolt (1913-2003), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and thence by descent to the present owner.
