Arabic manuscript on blue paper, 328ff. plus four fly-leaves, each folio with 14ll. of gold naskh, silver verse roundels, text panels outlined in gold and on wider silver-sprinkled borders, sura headings in silver on gold outlined panels, silver naskh in margins marking khams, 'ashr, nisf and juz', sometimes in gold outlined medallions, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination surrounding 7ll. of text in clouds reserved against gold, colophon with signature 'Ali and date, first and final folios with later owner's stamps, in modern blue morocco with flap, blue paper doublures, in archival fitted box

One of the fly-leaves has a seal impression which bears the date AH 1272/1855-56 AD and the name of Nawab Malika Zamaniya Begum, the second wife of Nasir al-Din Haydar of Lucknow and the builder of the Imambara al Golaganj.
