Composition leather and brass bound, with blue and yellow stripe and the monogram ‘C de R’ in the same colours to either end, with leather handles, the interior with one removable tray, the padded lid studded with ribbon taping, the lock numbered ‘112660’, the interior label numbered ‘847023’

The monogram 'C de R' is that of Baroness Clarice de Rothschild, née Sebag-Montefiore, who married Alphonse de Rothschild (1878-1942) in 1912.
