A Bizen Chaire and A Takatori Chaire [Tea Container]
Edo period (19th century) and Edo period (18th century)
The Bizen chaire with round shoulder, decorated with natural matt brown glaze with green speckles, some brownish green splashes falling from the shoulder, multiple horizontal green lines to the body; the Takatori chaire with two small lug handles to the sloping shoulder, a horizontal line to the middle part of body, decorated with reddish brown glaze falling short of the unglazed foot, overlaid by greenish ochre glaze broadly falling from the shoulder, both with gebuta [ivory lids with gold paper to the interior]
