TWO SOAPSTONE FIGURES OF LU DONGBIN AND CAO GUOJIU
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The figures are carved as two of the Eight Daoist Immortals, Lu Dongbin with a fly whisk in one hand and a sword on his back, and Cao Guojiu carrying a castanet in both hands. Their features and attire are cold-painted with various pigments.
