Second edition. Writing primarily to explore the moral dimension of leisure activities, Covarrubias treats of games in general, forbidden games, and gambler's gain. Among the recreations he considers are hunting (chapters 17-20), chess, dancing, and games-playing. He condemns bull-fighting on the grounds of danger to humans rather than compassion for the bull. Palau 64163; Salva 2509; Schwerdt I, p. 115.
