Descriptif du lot
The anthropomorphic personality of this design, examples of which were to feature in numerous of Dupré-Lafon’s interiors from the mid-1930s until the early 1950s, acknowledge the designer’s prevailing interest in forms from Antiquity. The designer selected examples of this design to use in his own home, rue de Belvédère, Boulogne-Billancourt, 1936, as well as for those interiors created for Robert Germain, Algiers, 1935, and Jean Bignon, Paris, 1934.
