A PAINTED IVORY BRISÉ FAN

The fan is carved and pierced with floral sprays and birds with a shield-form cartouche to the centre which is painted to one side with pink and blue flowers and to the other side with two maidens in a landscape scene.
Guard stick, 8 ¾ in. (22.2 cm.) long
