A HONGMU DISPLAY CABINET
LATE 19TH CENTURY
It rests on four claw feet, it has seven tiered shelves, with a cupboard and a drawer to the lower section. The cupboard door is carved in low relief with butterflies amongst flowers. The shelves are decorated in openwork with scrolling flowers and foliage. The cresting is carved with an openwork scrolling Indian lotus.
