A SMALL GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER
LATE MING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
The censer is of oval form and is decorated with two gilt mythical beast-mask handles. The body is boldly decorated with a gilt wave pattern to each side. It has an apocryphal Xuande four-character mark in relief to the base.
2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) wide across the handles, wood stand, box
