Lot Essay

Related to the figure of Hagar in Vasari's Abraham visited by the angels in the Cenacolo di San Salvi, Florence (L. Corti, Vasari. Catalogo completo dei dipinti, Florence, 1989, no. 67). Mina Gregori (in 1999 and 2001) and Francesca Baldassari (in 2013) have suggested an attribution to Vasari himself.
