With 29 in. (73.5 cm.) reblacked signed nitro chopperlump barrels with gold-inlaid '1' on the rib, 2 ½ in. (65 mm) chambers, bored approx. ¼ and ½ choke, engraved blued toplever with gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', removable striker-discs, case-hardened action and locks, the former signed 'J. PURDEY & SONS LONDON ENGLAND' on the underside, the latter each signed and with cocking-indicator, reblued trigger-guard, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving throughout, retaining much original case-hardened finish, well figured 14 ½ in. semi-pistolgrip stock with chequered butt, and gold escutcheon engraved with crowned monogram of HRH King Farouk of Egypt, weight 6 lbs. 10 oz., in original makers lightweight leather motor case

Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in June 1937 and restocked by them in 1957.
