A PAIR OF 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTORS

With 28 in. (71 cm.) reblacked nitro reproved chopperlump barrels, 2 ½ in. (65 mm) chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and ½ choke, reblued toplever respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold, automatic safeties each with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', signed actions and locks each retaining slight traces of original case-hardened finish, removable striker-discs, reblued trigger-guards, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving throughout, well figured 14 ¾ in. stocks with chequered butts, the No. 1 gun with replaced wood butt-plate, and gold escutcheons engraved with the initials 'HKL', weight 6 lbs. 2 oz., in original makers brass-cornered oak and leather double case with some accessories

Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this pair of light weight game guns were completed in June 1936 weighing in at 6 lbs. 2 ¾ oz. and that they restocked the No. 2 gun in August 1959.
