A FINE PAIR OF 20-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTORS

With 28 in. (71 cm.) signed blacked nitro chopperlump Whitworth steel barrels respectively numbered '1' and '2' on the rib, 2 ½ in. (65 mm) chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and ½ choke, case-hardened actions each signed on the underside, removable striker-discs, blued toplevers respectively numbered '1' and '2', automatic safeties each with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', signed case-hardened locks each with blued cocking-indicator, blued trigger-guards, case-hardened articulated front triggers, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving thoughout, well figured 14 ½ in. stocks including ¾ in. leather-covered butt-pads, gold escutcheons each engraved with a crowned 'A' monogram, and retaining virtually all their original finish, weight 5 lbs. 12 oz.

Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this pair of guns were completed in November 1926 for King Alfonso XIII of Spain.
