The sceptre is well carved with various Daoist deities, auspicous motifs, and four characters jixiang ruyi ('May all your good furtunes be fulfilled'). The largest terminal is decorated with Shoulao (Longevity God) accompagnied by his attendant and another Daoist divinity.
