CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, XVIIIEME-XIXEME SIECLE
The vessel is of tapering square section supported by four feet terminating in monster masks. Each of the sides are carved in shallow relief with taotie masks, below a waisted neck and two upright ruyi-shaped handles. The stone is of dark mottled green tones, and the underside is incised with an apocryphal Qianlong six-character mark.
