THANGKA REPRESENTANT YAMANTAKA
TIBET, XIXEME SIECLE
Yamantaka is standing in alidhasana on various prostrate divinities on a lotus base, with his principle hands embracing his consort and holding karttrika and kapala, and the other arms radiating around his body. His bull head has a pair of horns and is surrounded by twelve multi-armed divinities. The upper register shows various lamas and the lower section with Jambhala, Yama, three forms of Mahakala and Shri Devi.
