THANGKA REPRESENTANT GUR.MGON.PO MAHAKALA
TIBET, XVIIIEME SIECLE
The thangka is painted at the centre with Mahakala standing on a human figure placed on a lotus. He holds the karttrika and kapala while a stick rests on his arms. The upper section shows Brahmanarupa, Sa.skya pandita, Bram.ze.mchog.sred, Kun.dga.bzang.po and Ekajati. The lower register with five dakini and both sides of the painting have various inscriptions.
