Manuel de Faria, Vinho Madeira Velho Meio Doce 1908
Bottled in 1997. Level: into neck; cracked wax capsules, partially missing, one bottle with signs of seepage.
Tasting note: Deep iodine color. Intense nose, concentrated, wood, leather wax. In taste, full bodied, rich in texture, style PX. Intense after taste, dried apple fruit, towards syrup. Some passion fruit on the finish. After half an hour in the glass appearing more balanced and less sweet then at first. Very nice wine. Last tasted April 2014, EV.
