William Burt's work is rare, due to his death at age 26. He was the son of John Burt and brother to Samuel and Benjamin, all of whom were silversmiths.

The circular bowl pierced with central flower head and radiating starburst, with molded rim, with two cartouche-shaped elongated handles, the reverse of bowl engraved T over I I, marked on each handle with Kane mark A
