The sliding, formerly rising hood with pierced frets to the frieze and spiral three-quarter columns to the front and quarter columns to the rear, glazed sides, the paneled trunk with satyr mask above door with lenticle, the plinth raised on bracket feet, paper label to inside of door 'Wetherfield Collection of Clocks acquired by Arthur S. Vernay Inc.', the case restored, the 10 inch gilded dial with wheat-ear border and cherub head spandrels, the narrow silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, fleur-de-lis half hour markers, the finely matted centre with silvered seconds ring, later blued steel hands and date aperture, signed to the lower edge 'Jospeh Knibb Londini Fecit', latched dial feet; the two train month duration movement joined by five ringed latched pillars, with recoil anchor escapement and countwheel Roman striking on two bells, later seatboard, pendulum with brass bob and butterfly regulation, two substantial brass cased weights
