A SMALL UNDERGLAZE-BLUE AND RED AND GREEN-GLAZED 'KLAPMUTS' BOWL
TRANSITIONAL PERIOD, CIRCA 1630-1643
The small bowl is decorated at the center of the interior with a medallion containing a scroll with a tassel, enclosed by pendent flowering peony branches below the bracket-lobed rim. The exterior is decorated with two branches bearing small red buds.
5 ½ in. (14 cm.) diam.
