Black-lacquered black-laced armor with laced iron-plate cuirass (mogami-do gusoku)

The armor comprising:
Helmet [kabuto]:
a sixteen-plate black-lacquered iron hemi spherical ridged helmet bowl, the larger aperture at the crown with five-tiered circular and chrysanthemum shaped surround, the lower tier pierced and carved with chrysanthemums, to the front a broad plate pierced and carved with chrysanthemums and with three gilt arrow-shaped pendant fittings, to the rear a matching narrower plate with two arrow-shaped pendants, the iron brim clad with dyed leather with three triple wood-sorrel leaf and sword blade badges in roundels with gilt edging, gilt fixture for the forecrest and stylized horns pierced and carved with chrysanthemum leaves and blossoms, gilt pair of stylized horns, fore crest of a gilt copper dragon, neck guard of three tiers of plain black-lacquered iron plate
Face Mask [menpo]:
sharply-modeled russet iron face mask with detachable nose, with attached throat guard of three tiers of black-lacquered simple iron plate
Cuirass [do]:
two-piece cuirass of loosely-laced horizontal plain black-lacquered iron plates, the upper part clad with dyed leather with gilt-edging and gilt rectangular fixtures pierced and carved with chrysanthemums, matching under-arm pieces, a separate vertical rear piece reaching from shoulders to and including the skirt, two leaf-shaped leather-clad and gilt edged covers for the shoulder straps, skirt of seven sections each of five tiers
Sleeves and shoulder guards [kote and sode]:
Sleeves of black-lacquered iron splints linked by chain mail and sewn onto leather and textile, seven-tiered black-lacquered plate iron plate shoulder guards with gilt metal fixtures pierced and carved with chrysanthemums, the upper vertical plates clad with dyed leather and edged with gilt copper
Thigh and lower leg guards [haidate and suneate]: Thigh guard of overlapping rectangular black-lacquered iron rectangular plates sewn onto a dyed-leather reinforced embroidered textile base, lower leg guards of five vertical black-lacquered iron splints chained together on textile and leather
Accessories:
a folding war-fan lacquered with a gold sun on a red ground on one side and on the reverse a red sun on a gold ground: a command baton with silver-lacquered paper strips on a black-lacquered wood shaft with silver fittings engraved with flowers: a silk-clad tubular textile belt
