A VERY RARE FLINTLOCK OVER AND UNDER DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING RIFLE

With 28 1/8 in. (71.5 cm.) round twist barrels, the upper barrel sighted and with gold line and gold-lined maker's mark (Der Neue Støckel 8288) at the breech, gold-lined touch holes, tang engraved with foliage and a marshal trophy, signed engraved detented bolted locks each with French cock semi-rainproof pan and roller, well figured walnut butt with chequered grip and raised cheekpiece, engraved iron mounts including large scrolled pistolgrip trigger-guard, and brass mounted ramrod, probably original
