Each with three stage turn-off cannon barrel, breech section signed within a rococo trophy of arms (one cock replaced, the other repaired), engraved sliding trigger-guard safety-catch, swelling figured walnut butt carved in low relief with a rococo shell behind the barrel tang and profusely inlaid with silver wire rococo ornament throughout, cast and chased silver mounts comprising trophy of arms side plate and grotesque butt-cap, trophy of arms escutcheon engraved with the monogram 'M', private Birmingham proof marks, maker's mark 'WG' for William Grice
