A LARGE DEHUA FIGURE OF GUANYIN
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The figure of the Goddess is well modelled with gentle features, seated on elaborate rock beside an alms bowl, her chin resting on her right hand and her left hand holding a scroll, her hair upswept in a topknot held by a ruyi hairpin. The back is impressed with a seal mark reading He Chaozong yin, the glaze of a milky-white tone pooling to a translucent pale blue in the recesses.
